Tata Power EV Charging Stations: Tata Power sets up 1,000 EV charging stations across the country, know in your city


From the first charging point set up in Mumbai, Tata Power's EV charging points have now been installed in around 180 cities across the country.


Country's private sector company Tata Power has installed over 1,000 EV charging stations across the country to charge electric vehicles. Tata Power has installed four charging stations in Jamshedpur city. A network of 1,000 public EV charging stations has been installed for Tata Power customers across offices, malls, hotels, retail outlets and public places. There are also 10,000 home EV charging points that will allow vehicle owners to charge their vehicles.


Tata Power will also provide home charger


The Tata Power EV Chargers eco system covers a range of public chargers, captive chargers, bus/fleet chargers and home chargers. From the first charging point set up in Mumbai, Tata Power's EV charging points have now been installed in around 180 cities across the country. These charging points are available on many state and national highways. The company plans to build 10,000 charging points next. The company plans to develop an e-charging network covering highways across the country.

MoU between Tata Power and OEM


Tata Power has tied up with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to develop an EV charging network. Tata Power also collaborates with IOCL, HPCL, IGL, MGL and other state governments to develop EV charging infrastructure.


Charging station to be built at HP's petrol pump


The company recently announced that it will set up charging stations at HPCL's petrol pumps. The company will also set up its own charging stations in Mumbai for commercial and residential projects. In July 2021, Tata Power and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited joined hands to build end-to-end EV charging stations at HPCL's retail outlets (petrol pumps) across major cities and highways in the country.


Similarly, the company has tied up with Lodhi Group, one of the largest real estate developers, to set up end-to-end EV charging points in residential and commercial projects in the Mumbai metropolitan region and Pune. Tata Power has also developed a robust software platform for EV charging customers. Tata Power has launched a mobile application 'Tata Power EZ Charge' for its customers.
