How to use Digilocker for Residents:

Initially, the applicant has to log in, then enter the mobile number in the login field.

Then an OTP is sent to your registered mobile number. Further, enter the OTP in the required fields on the page.

After that enter username and password and create your Digilocker account.

So, now you are signed in to this portal. Now you can also provide your Aadhaar number issued by UIDAI in the process of availing other services.

Then, once you have completed the above process, candidates can verify the URI for the e-documents. Available e-documents by various issuers have been uploaded on Digilocker.

Most importantly, the resident will also have to upload the e-documents in this locker and save his e-sign.

In addition, residents can share their personal certificates or documents with applicants using the shared link.

How to use DigiLocker for issuers:

First, you need to complete the registration process as the issuer and log in to the portal.

After that, the issuer ID is generated on the official portal.

The issuer can then upload the documents to the standard repository in XML format using the Repository Service Provider.

Therefore, each document uploaded by the issuer must have a unique ID or URI in their repository. Also, this includes the document type, ID, and issuer ID.
