Online eFIR Gujarat: The Gujarat government on Wednesday Announced that people can now file an “e-FIR” using the state home department’s website or mobile app to report theft of their vehicles or mobile phones.

People will now be able to lodge e-FIRs from their homes using the state home department website or citizen portal “gujhome.gujarat.gov.in” or “Citizen First Gujarat Police” mobile app instead of going to the police station. Gram Panchayat work report online check from here.

Instead of visiting the police station, people can now lodge an e-FIR from their homes through the citizen portal “gujhome.gujarat.gov.in” or the “Citizen First Gujarat Police” mobile app, an official said.

This facility is available only for cases where the accused are unknown and force was not used, he said.

After uploading the required details on the website or app, complainants will be sent a confirmation through SMS and email, after which the application will be forwarded to the concerned police station, the official said. Change Address in Aadhar Card Online.

A senior officer of the police station will be required to hand over the preliminary inquiry to his subordinate officer within 24 hours of receiving the complaint, he said, adding that the complainant would be alerted through SMS once the inquiry is handed over.
 

The investigating officer has to meet the complainant and verify the facts mentioned in the e-FIR within 48 hours and send the report to the in-charge of the police station, he said.
